Fitzpatrick's Green Initiatives:
Recycling and Reusing
The firm's electronic devices are disposed of and recycled in an environmentally responsible manner, and our leasing agents reuse office equipment whenever practicable. We also have long-standing and firm-wide recycling programs for the collection of paper, metals, glass, and corrugated materials.
Energy Conservation
All of Fitzpatrick's offices utilize sensor-controlled lighting that automatically shuts off lights when spaces are unoccupied. The firm's office equipment is Energy Star-rated and we are implementing additional power-saving policies designed to reduce overall energy consumption.
Document Management
Firm wide, we continue to take measurable strides towards reducing paper waste through expanded use of e-mail, duplex copying and printing, and document scanning. We have also transitioned to recycled content paper for the substantial majority of our printing.
Choice of Vendors
Fitzpatrick's choice of vendors is influenced by each business's sustainability practices. For example, we look to commercial printers and paper products suppliers to provide materials made from recycled content, and the transportation service providers we use have begun replacing the cars in their fleets with fuel efficient "Green" vehicles.
Green Committee
Membership on Fitzpatrick’s Green Initiatives Committee includes representation from all three of the firm’s offices and is comprised of both lawyers and administrators whose goal is to promote a more environmentally responsible law practice through greener working practices.
